Thermal center reached by fluvial route

The Atlas Group transported the 4 thermoelectric motors of 220 tons through the Manta-Manaos Axis. This is the greatest load ever transported through this route. Those motors arrived from Brazil and travelled nearly 2,500 kilometers to reach Ecuador. To move each generator, three trailers were needed for the stretch from the water to the interior of the port, due to their weight. Close to 20 technicians and operators took part in this operation, and needed a few days to move each motor toward some special platforms of 170 tires.

This was not the first cargo to reach Ecuador through the Manta-Manaos. A few weeks ago, a generator arrived for Andes Petroleum.
